Maybe we're risking becoming Dez Bryant Central here. You guys have certainly had your share of updates on the controversial Oklahoma State receiver.

But the pieces of intrigue keep coming. And here's one more: In this week's edition of Monday Morning Quarterback, Sports Illustrated's Peter King catches up with Bryant, who gives him some insight into his visit with the Patriots.

"On TV all these years, I never saw Bill Belichick smile,'' Bryant told King. "But we had a great conversation, and he was smiling a lot. I really liked it there. I think I'd be a good fit there.'' King detailed Bryant's itinerary (visits with the Cowboys, Dolphins, Bengals, Steelers, Ravens, Buccaneers, 49ers, Rams and Broncos are also on there), and reading it, it's starting to sound a little less likely that the Patriots will have a shot at him with the 22d pick. Do they trade up? They certainly have the ammo to do so.

My guess is that Bryant is very much in play with the Dolphins at 12, and maybe that's where the action starts heating up for him.
