Scouting report from Pro Football Weekly
Positives: Good athlete. Great competitor. Battles and scraps and will play through injuries. Is best working outside the pocket and throwing on the move. Has some scrambling ability to create with his feet. Has an upbeat attitude. Has been very durable.

Negatives: Has a thin build and is not strong in the pocket - goes down easily. Tends to carry the ball low on the move and sling it sidearm. Iffy decision maker - too often either forces the ball or will tuck and run at the first flash of coverage. Feet tend to get too happy, and he panics too much in the pocket. Does not handle pressure well. Not a student of the game. Limited arm strength - cannot drill deep outs, and ball tends to die. Marginal deep accuracy. Not a take-charge leader.
