Jets getting younger in key spots
See the guy in that video there? That's Joe McKnight, and now he's the Patriots' problem.
The Jets sent a sixth-round pick to Carolina to move up in the fourth round and select the USC stick of dymanite 112th overall. And then, New York turned around and dealt off its jack-of-all-trades, the explosive but injured Leon Washington, to Seattle for a fifth-round pick.
In essence, in this draft, New York has replaced two big-name players -- Alan Faneca and Washington -- with rookies Vladimir Ducasse (of UMass) and McKnight.
Should be worth watching, anyway, with a pretty loaded team.
The Jets have been successful with these things in the past ... Last year, they wound up replacing Thomas Jones and Brett Favre, by the end of the season, with rookies Shonn Greene and Mark Sanchez . We'll see if they can pull the trick again here.
