Count Mississippi State LB Jamar Chaney and Illinois WR Arrelious Benn among the 30 players on the list of those visiting Foxborough in advance of the NFL Draft.
Benn's probably a second-rounder, and was an impact player in all three of his seasons in the Big Ten. He's 6 feet 1 inch, 219 pounds, tough as nails and good with the ball in his hands, but some questions arose about his long speed after he ran a 4.56 40 at the combine. Benn can do a lot of things, and the Illini got him the ball every which way (as a runner, receiver and returner) while he was there.
Chaney, on the other hand, tested very well athletically, but his instincts have been called into question through this process. Probably a mid-round pick (Maybe a consideration for that fourth-rounder for the Patriots) in this draft.
Both guys had injury issues in college. Benn had concussion problems, and a bum ankle, while Chaney dealt with a broken leg and MCL sprain, so the physical could be key to these guys' visits in Foxborough.
