Bob Kraft.jpgIRVING, Texas -- Patriots owner Robert Kraft just arrived here at the NFL's Spring Meeting with son Jonathan, and quickly addressed the media.

We'll catch up with him more extensively in a little bit, but the important thing he got across was to reiterate his support for the New York/New Jersey bid for Super Bowl XLVIII.

Kraft's long been a proponent of playing in the elements, which went into his decision to build Gillette Stadium as an open-air facility.

The Patriots owner noted the commitment it took on the part of the Jets and Giants, and those in the NYC area, to get the stadium built. Then, my old colleague and Medway native Todd Archer, of the Dallas Morning News, asked it directly ... Well, you put a lot into your stadium, so wouldn't you like to host one of those?

"I think that ship has sailed," he responded. "I think the time to do it (was if there was a true rotation). But it's not about us at this point in time.

We'll keep you updated from here. Got my spot in the lobby staked out at the Las Colinas Omni.
