Brady buddies.jpgAt his flag football game this evening at Harvard Stadium (part of the BestBuddies Challenge weekend), Patriots QB Tom Brady addressed the report that there is a "growing sense of disconnect" in contract negotiations as he gets closer to the expiration of the six-year deal he signed in 2005.

"I don't really want to talk about it a whole lot because there's nothing anyone can solve, other than the team and myself," said Brady, pictured during halftime tonight (free-lance iPhone photography from Emily Burkott). "There's a lot of guys in my situation. So really I just want to focus on what's coming up this week and I'm just excited to be back on the field with the guys.

"Things happen, some are out of your control. You just gotta go with the flow."

Asked if he's disappointed in the pace of negotiations, Brady says: "Really, I haven't been thinking about it a whole lot. It's just part of the process. I love being out on the field with the guys, playing and that's really where my focus is."

So, as is his way, Brady's playing this one close to the vest.
