We brought you Part 1 of veteran NFL reporter Pete Prisco's Top 50 Players list the other day, and today we get the rest of the list.

Tom Brady, as it turns out, is the only Patriot in the elite 25. Despite the loud knocking on the door from Drew Brees last year, Prisco's sticking with the old Manning/Brady pair atop his ranking.

On Brady, he writes: It's trendy to bash him and say he wasn't the same player he had been in 2009. I don't buy it. His yardage total was the second-best of his career.

So in the end, how did the Patriots stack up player-wise? They were one of 14 teams to land multiple players on Prisco's list. The Vikings had a league-high five, the Colts, Texans and Ravens had four each, while the Cowboys, Cardinals, Broncos and Steelers had three apiece. The Patriots were joined by the Saints, Jets, Chargers, Packers and Dolphins with two selections.

Including the "Just Missed" category, the Patriots had five players mentioned in 2008, and six mentioned last year. There were also six in 2007.

Meaningful? Maybe not. But it does underscore, again, how important it is for the Patriots to get growth and production out of their 2009 and '10 draft classes, and how big it could be for a player or two from those groups to emerge as a star.
