Bill Belichick opened today's press conference by saying that, "It’s good to have the level of participation that we’ve had. I think our guys are working hard and we’ve made a lot of progress."

As you all know, Ty Warren's been working on getting his degree from Texas A&M (Shalise will have plenty more on that later). So it's notable that today, on Warren's first day back at practice, he pointed out the climate around the team he's been a part of for going on eight years.

"This is my first day out here, and just kind of watching from afar, and seeing the new energy that we have going out here is real good," Warren said. "I got to witness that first hand today, and it was real good. I think we’re heading in the right direction."

Since getting the locker room righted seemed to be a focus in the offseason, it was pretty interesting to hear Warren say that. And it was also interesting to hear why Warren feels that way.

"I think it’s just everybody on board, it seems like everybody’s in tune to listen and learn," Warren continued. "It’s just a different energy. I can’t really explain it."

We'll see where it goes -- There are plenty of teams feeling good in May and June. But for now, it seems like a pretty good sign.
