DMcSigns.jpgFirst-round pick Devin McCourty has come to terms with the Patriots, according to a league source.

McCourty will report to Foxborough this morning to sign his deal and go to work. The rookie reporting date was Sunday, but the important thing was to have him in today, the club's veteran reporting date, and the sides worked through the night to get the contract finished.

McCourty is the final of the Patriots' 12 draft picks to sign with the club.

He is also just the second of 32 first-round picks to sign, showing the slow pace of negotiations league-wide. Dallas' Dez Bryant is the other. The Patriots become the fourth team to have all their picks signed, joining Carolina, Chicago and Dallas.

That, of course, speaks well of the Patriots' ability to negotiate in an uncertain labor climate, and also the work of agent Andy Simms in finding a way to take the plunge.

(UPDATE:) It's a five-year deal. And subsequently, Simms tweeted the signing.
