Spikes agrees to terms with Patriots
The Patriots have come to terms with second-round pick Brandon Spikes, according to agent Terry Watson. Spikes missed the first two days of rookie camp, but will be in time for the big day -- which is the full squad reporting date on Wednesday.
The deal has a max value of just over $3.2 million with a $960,000 signing bonus.
That leaves first-round pick Devin McCourty as the only draft picks of the Patriots' dozen left unsigned. There's some work to do on that deal, and we may need to wait for a few more dominoes to fall before that happens.
Spikes, one of three Florida products in the Patriots' draft class, was the 62nd overall pick. He is just the 11th second-round pick to sign. The Boston Herald first reported the agreement.
