The Patriots have filled out their 80-man roster with receiver Rod Owens and tight end Carson Butler.

Patriots coach Bill Belichick announced the signing of the two players this morning during his press conference.

Owens is in his rookie season after playing four seasons at Florida State. He is 6 foot 1 inch and 186 pounds. Last season, he caught 61 passes for 721 yards and three touchdowns at FSU.

Butler, who is 6-foot-4 and 255 pounds, played four years at Michigan and bounced around last season from team to team but only played in preseason games. He is entering his second year in the NFL.
