Defensive end Adewale Ogunleye was brought in to work out with the Patriots today, according to reports by ProFootballTalk.com and ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The Patriots would be looking to beef up an area of their defense that could become thinner should linebacker Derrick Burgess retire. The Patriots have room on their roster to make a move with two open spots.

ProFootballTalk.com cites a league source that states the Patriots "officially are undecided about signing Ogunleye."

Ogunleye played four seasons with the Miami Dolphins and the last six with the Bears. He is 6-4, 260 pounds. Last season, he picked up 6.5 sacks in 14 games.
