You just knew this was coming, right? When people are careful about saying things ... well, let's just say that's not Rex Ryan.

The Jets coach was asked about Tom Brady's comments on WEEI Monday morning -- "I hate the Jets" was among them -- and, as you might expect, Ryan had a response.

“He already knows that we hate the Patriots… so what’s the difference?” Ryan said after today’s practice, per our pal Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News. “My brother’s got a couple Super Bowl rings. He loves Tom Brady. But I don’t have them, so I don’t like Tom Brady. I respect him, but I don’t like him.”

That brother is former Patriot linebackers coach Rob Ryan. Chances are, Rob doesn't hate the Jets.

But as for everyone else? Apprised of the Patriots' hatred, Ryan simply said "Join the club."

Just 27 days until these two teams meet for real at the New Meadowlands Stadium.
