MarkSanchez.JPGTom Brady touched off a war of words up and down the I-95 corridor with some choice comments on Monday morning. Jets coach Rex Ryan dropped some gasoline on the fire later that day.

Guess New York quarterback Mark Sanchez is just no fun.

This morning, per our buddy Bart Hubbuch over at the New York Post (via Pro Football Talk), we have an account of Sanchez's response to the chatter earlier in the week between the AFC East archrivals. The QB joked that it was a "setup", then gave his two cents.

"No, I love the Patriots," Sanchez said, smiling. "I love Tom."

Sanchez then turned to a camera and said, "I love you, Tom." ... Not sure quite how to take that one, and I'm not sure whether there's some connection between the two California-bred quarterbacks. But it is clear that Sanchez wasn't jumping in this fray.

"[Brady's comment] doesn't matter," Sanchez said. "It's neither here nor there. We respect the heck out of them. I think he's a great quarterback, it's a great franchise, and we need to bring our best when we play them -- every time."
