kyle-arrington.jpgDarius Butler may not get a real chance to redeem himself against Buffalo after his poor outing against the Jets: Kyle Arrington may be in his place.

Arrington, a special teams ace, took a number of snaps with the first-team defense this week over Butler, according to a league source. Butler started the first two games of the season at corner opposite rookie Devin McCourty.

When Butler was pulled late in the loss to the Jets after picking up pass interference penalties on back-to-back plays, it was Arrington who replaced him on the field.

With Terrence Wheatley still out due to a foot injury -- he may be sidelined through the bye week -- New England has little depth at the position, and it looks like Arrington may be the choice.

The news of the move was first reported by ESPNBoston.com.
