Patriots defensive back Bret Lockett was arrested this morning between the hours of 1-4 a.m. for failure to move and disorderly conduct outside of a club in downtown Providence, according to the Providence Police Department.

Lockett was arrested and released and is expected to appear in court at a later date to answer to the charges. The arrest was first reported by WEEI.com.

Lockett, 23, is in his second year with the Patriots. He is on injured reserve and out for the season with a chest injury.

Update 5:12 p.m.: Lockett's agent Bardia Ghahremani said he was aware of the incident and said, "We will let the process unfold, but we're confident he will prevail."

The Patriots have no comment at this time.
