FOXBOROUGH -- The Patriots did not vote to decertify today, as expected with NFLPA executive director DeMaurice Smith postponing today's visit to New England to attend Denver Broncos receiver Kenny McKinley's funeral in Atlanta.

Nine other teams have voted to decertify, which would give the union the ability to take the league to antitrust court, if it should choose. The move would not stop a lockout.

Smith is expected to reschedule a trip to New England to meet with the players, but a date has not been determined yet.
