Just in from the Patriots' practice, where we can report that Tom Brady appeared fine - he was in full pads like the rest of his teammates and took part in jogging, stretching and some light passing. He did keep his helmet on the whole time, even while stretching.

He was joined by Julian Edelman, who returned to practice after a foot sprain suffered in the preseason, Randy Moss, who missed yesterday's session due to illness, and Laurence Maroney (thigh).

So three players weren't spotted: Nick Kaczur (back), Terrence Wheatley (foot sprain) and Quinn Ojinnaka (suspension).

And in one last moment of the absurd, WHDH Channel 7 had a helicopter buzzing overhead when practice began, apparently beaming video of Brady playing catch early in the session, before media were allowed onto the field.
