EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The New England Patriots gave up a fourth-quarter lead as the New York Giants take the 20-17 victory to close out the preseason.

The Patriots end the preseason 2-2, losing back-to-back games to the St. Louis Rams and now the Giants. We'll be back with coaches and player reaction.

4th quarter, 1:49, Patriots 17, Giants 20: The Giants have thrown a little excitement into this game. Rhett Bomar completes 60-yard pass to Duke Calhoun for a touchdown. The Giants follow up with 2-point conversion.

4th quarter, 4:55, Patriots 17, Giants 12: Darnell Jenkins takes short pass from Hoyer 66 yards for the touchdown. Drive: 3 plays, 74 yards, 1:16. Gostkowski extra point.

4th quarter, 6:11, Patriots 10, Giants 12: Pierre Woods has lined up at corner and defensive end. ... DeAngelo Willingham gets interception returns it 16 yards. Pats take over on their 26.

4th quarter, 14:56, Patriots 10, Giants 12: BenJarvus Green-Ellis is unable to get the 1-yard for the touchdown, getting stopped by Bryan Kehl. The Patriots went for it on fourth and 1 from the 1 but were stopped.

3d quarter, 2:41, Patriots 10, Giants 12: Nice catch by Rod Owens taking off for a 67-yard reception. He pulled in a pass from Brian Hoyer.

3d quarter, 3:53, Patriots 10, Giants 12: Tynes converts 24-yard field goal capping a 12-play, 44-yard drive. It burned 6:28 off the clock.

2d quarter, :27, Patriots 10, Giants 9: Stephen Gostkowski banks 46-yard field goal off right post. Drive: 11 plays, 58 yards, 2:55.

2d quarter, 4:20, Patriots 7, Giants 9: Buddy Farnham, who has been working out at receiver, has been in the game at safety.

2d quarter, 7:15, Patriots 7, Giants 9: Maroney has three carries for 10 yards so far in the game.

2d quarter, 8:24, Patriots 7, Giants 9: Rookie Sergio Brown is making plays on special teams. He made an impressive play on a Giants punt.

2d quarter, 10:01, Patriots 7, Giants 9: Punter Zoltan Mesko showed a little strength slinging Mario Manningham, also a former Michigan guy, out of bounds after a 20-yard return.

2d quarter, 11:32, Patriots 7, Giants 9: Laurence Maroney is in the game. And Tom Brady is done for the night.

2d quarter, 12:01,Patriots 7, Giants 9: Lawrence Tynes converts 24-yard field goal. Drive: 9 plays, 43 yards, 3:55.

1st quarter, 0:21, Patriots 7, Giants 6: Back ups are in for the most part on both sides as the Giants take over offensively.

1st quarter, 1:27, Patriots 7, Giants 6: Brady was looking for Randy Moss on a long pass on 1st and 10 from the Patriots 29 but his pass was under thrown and Antrel Rolle read the play and intercepted it to return it 28 yards.

1st quarter, 3:11, Patriots 7, Giants 6: Brady comes out to start another offensive series.

1st quarter, 6:51, Patriots 7, Giants 6: Brandon Meriweather in the game for the first time starting the second defensive series for the Patriots.

1st quarter, 6:51, Patriots 7, Giants 6: Patriots do a lot of running behind Ohrnberger, appearing to test his skill at the position. The Patriots end the drive with rookie tight end Rob Gronkowski pulling in a 5-yard pass from Brady for the touchdown. Drive: 8 plays, 40 yards, 3:52.

1st quarter, 8:19: Patriots 0, Giants 6: Tom Brady comes out to start the first drive for the Patriots. nice return by Thomas Clayton gives the Patriots the ball at the Giants 45. Rich Ohrnberger gets the start at right guard.

1st quarter, 10:43, Patriots 0, Giants 6: Looks like defensive breakdown between Mike Wright and Marques Murrell as Eli Manning completes 13-yard touchdown pass to an open Kevin Boss. The point after was botched.
