Much of this week has been spent reviewing the shortcomings of Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez. But if this EA Sports Madden 2011 simulation is to be believed (ahem) over at ESPN.com, then the "Sanchize" will spend Sunday silencing doubters.

The folks at ESPN simulate every game every week this way, and in this week's Jets-Pats sim, New England builds a 17-6 halftime lead, then watches it melt away as Sanchez (21-32, 242 yds, 2 TD, 0 INT) spearheads a 30-27 come-from-behind win ...

In what turned out to be the most entertaining and explosive game of the day, the Jets somehow manage to score 30 points, including 14 in the fourth quarter, to upset the Patriots, 30-27. The key to the game (surprise surprise) was the Jets defense as they forced Tom Brady into two late interceptions, setting up the Jets offense in prime scoring position to win the game. A 7-yard score by Braylon Edwards with only a minute left on the clock sealed the deal.

Just so we're clear, I think this result is pretty unlikely. But interesting to read a dispassionate point of view on the game, anyway.
