arrington-td.jpgPatriots players got Tuesday and Wednesday off from Bill Belichick after their Monday night win, and are due back at Gillette Stadium this morning for a 9 o'clock team meeting.

There will be media access on both days, with an open locker-room period this afternoon, after a brief practice access window.

Tomorrow there will be practice access and a couple of players brought into the media workroom to meet with reporters.

Not scheduled for either day? A press conference with Bill Belichick, who yesterday traded Randy Moss to Minnesota. Belichick likely will not speak until Monday, so the statement he released yesterday after the trade is all we'll hear from him for a few days.

Here's a quick stat-check of where the Pats stand a quarter of the way through the season:

Total offense: 11th, 344.3 yards per game (last week 7th)
San Diego 1st, 450.8 YPG
Rushing offense: 13th (last week 10th)
Passing offense: 16th (last week 10th)

Total defense: 28th, 384.5 yards per game (last week 27th)
San Diego 1st, 235.5 YPG
Rushing defense: 18th (last week 20th)
Passing defense: 28th (last week 25th)

Points per game:
Offense - 32.8 (1st; last week 1st)
Defense - 24.0 (25th; last week 28th)
Pittsburgh 1st, 12.5 PPG
