FOXBOROUGH -- Patriots corner Terrence Wheatley was spotted at practice today for the first time this season, according to the Globe's Shalise Manza Young.

Wheatley returned from a broken foot he suffered in third preseason game. He was on the field during the media portion of practice this afternoon. Deion Branch also was out for his first official practice since being traded to the Patriots.

The Patriots were in full pads on the upper fields behind Gillette Stadium in their first practice this week preparing for Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens.

RB Fred Taylor was the only player not seen as DL Mike Wright, also returned.
