The Patriots are holding practice on the upper fields behind Gillette Stadium in shells (light pads) and shorts/sweatpants. Colleague Monique Walker reports three players were not present during the media-access window - Fred Taylor, Jarrad Page, and Julian Edelman.

Edelman left Sunday's game with an announced head injury, while Page left with a calf injury.

The following were in black as the practice players of the week: Matthew Slater, Dane Fletcher, Ryan Wendell, Kyle Love, Shawn Crable, Darnell Jenkins, and Carson Butler.
