FOXBOROUGH -- Running back Fred Taylor will be waiting right along with everyone else to see if he will be given the OK to play Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.

Taylor practiced all of last week but was downgraded to out the day before the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. This week, Taylor said he feels even better but he knows the decisions is not his to make.

"I feel pretty good," Taylor said. "I had a better week of practice. Ultimately, you guys know as well as I know, that it's coach's decision at the end of the day. So I'll just stay patient and see what that call is."

Taylor practiced for the first time last week since he suffered his toe injury against the Buffalo Bills in Week 3. He said if he is cleared to play he believes he will be ready.

"Of course I do," Taylor said. "I haven't played in a while and I've got that itch. Would definitely love to be back out there and going to keep improving. It's his decision and he knows what's best for the team going forward and whatever that is, I have to live with it and just be ready for it. I had a very solid week of practice, a lot better than last week and am continuing to improve."

Taylor said he could sense the improvement because he is getting some bursts and the cuts feel better. "... this week, confidence is getting better with each rep."
