FOXBOROUGH -- Patriots coach Bill Belichick wrapped up his news conference moments ago. The Patriots are preparing to take on the Bills this week. Here are some of the highlights from Belichick's conference.

On signing of DL Landon Cohen: "We felt like he had a skill set that in our situation at this point in time that he would be able to contribute ... We'll see how it goes here ... Get him caught up and see how it goes in practice."

On Bills coach Chan Gailey saying the team will kick away from Dan Connolly: [Grins] "I bet Chan is really worried about that."

On Julian Edelman's lack of production: "He's had good production in the punt return game ... We still have a lot of confidence in Julian ... I really don't see much of a dropoff in the punt return game."

On defensive line performance: "Anytime you have to move players around, every team has to go through that. We're just like everybody else ... You take the players you have and do the best you can to prepare them."

On Dan Connolly being special teams player of the week: "Congratulations to him. It was an excellent run on his part. He got some good blocking along the way. It was a play that we have never seen before. It was timely. He did a good job with the opportunity."
