FOXBOROUGH -- Patriots coach Bill Belichick just wrapped up his news conference at Gillette Stadium and touched on a few topics. The Patriots will hold a walk-through inside today as they prepare for the Miami Dolphins.

Here are some other topics from a day that heavily focused on leadership.

On importance of a win Sunday: "We try to approach each game for what it is and try not to worry about the standings and the records and all of that. You try to get ready to play and then go out there and compete on Sunday."

On Logan Mankins's performance since his return: "He's been outstanding on and off the field. He brings a great attitude and work ethic and just superior toughness to the field to our football team. He's an outstanding performer and a smart guy that doesn't make many mistakes. ... He's a very consistent player always has been and he's certainly shown that this year."

Why would the team potentially let him get away? "Right now, it's about getting ready for Miami. A lot of things that we've talked about none of them really apply at this particular time."

On six Patriots being voted to Pro Bowl: "I'm happy for those players. They've all had good seasons. We have a lot of players on our team that have had good seasons. I appreciate what everybody does. I think we're all here for the same goal."
