FOXBOROUGH -- Rookie cornerback Devin McCourty said today his ribs are feeling better and he is happy he has been able to practice this week.

McCourty said he injured his ribs when he stripped Bears receiver Johnny Knox of the ball in the second quarter of the 36-7 victory Sunday. McCourty was limited at practice yesterday and is expected to practice again today.

"I'm just happy that I can practice," McCourty said. "Going out there and playing I think is always a good sign."

McCourty said he tries not to rush into anything and just listened to doctors when he was told not to play in the second half of the victory.

"I feel better and I think it showed yesterday," McCourty said.
