ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. – A few quickie halftime thoughts:

  • Everything is clicking for the Patriots right now. They’ve gained 163 of their 238 yards on the ground. Tom Brady has thrown two touchdowns. The Patriots’ defense is wrecking people and come up with two turnovers (fumble and another on downs).
  • The interior of the offensive line is doing some work. It’s like NT Kyle Williams isn’t even playing. BenJarvus Green-Ellis (66 yards) and Danny Woodhead (72) are doing their thunder and lightning routine to perfection.
  • Jerod Mayo has really come to play today. He’s had several big hits and recovered a fumble.
  • Three big drops by Patriots receivers in the first half (two by Wes Welker). Rob Gronkowski made up for his with a tremendous one-handed catch and a touchdown.
  • Nice work by the Patriots’ kick coverage units on a rough day for the kickers. Graham may not have the biggest leg but his hangtime consistency is very good and gives the Patriots a chance to set up their coverage.
  • Have to question Buffalo’s decision to quickly go away from the run, which was working early. Not smart. It’s the way to hang with the Patriots.
  • This one is all but over. The Patriots don’t blow this type of lead.
