FOXBOROUGH -- Defensive linemen Mike Wright (concussion) and Myron Pryor (back), linebacker Brandon Spikes (unknown) and cornerback Jonathan Wilhite (hip) were not at the portion of Patriots practice open to the media.
Safety Patrick Chung, who missed yesterday's session for a reason that was not injury related, returned to practice.
The Patriots signed defensive back Chevis Jackson, a former third-round pick of the Falcons in 2008. Coach Bill Belichick said some personnel moves would be announced later today.
Jackson was 6-0 and 192 pounds at the combine in '08. He ran the 40 in 4.52 seconds.
He started three games for the Falcons in two seasons with 60 tackles, seven passes defensed, one sack and one interception, which was returned 95 yards for a touchdowns. Jackson played mostly nickel back.
Jackson became the highest draft pick of general manager Thomas Dimitroff, the former Patriots director of college scouting, to be released prior to this season. Jackson reportedly struggled in man coverage.
Jackson played at LSU for coach Nick Saban, so he's well versed in the techniques used by the Patriots.
Jackson will wear No. 41 with the Patriots.
