Since Rex Ryan's game plan for this week doesn't include restraining himself in front of a microphone, since he's alerady taken another subtle swipe at Tom Brady and claimed that Sunday's AFC Divisional round matchup comes down to him versus Bill Belichick among other things, it is inevitable that Belichick & Co. will be asked about his comments.

Belichick showed his good nature when asked if he believes this game comes do to himself against Ryan.

"I might have a little quickness on him, he might have a little more strength and power on me," he said during his conference call. "I don't think you will see either one of us out there making any blocks or tackles."

Does Ryan's approach bother Belichick?

"Uh…I just try to coach my team, I don’t worry about how everybody else coaches theirs," he said. "I’m just trying to coach mine. I don’t worry about what anyone else is doing."

Director of player personnel Nick Caserio and linebackers coach Matt Patricia, who also took part in the conference call, were brought in on the Ryan vs. Belichick fun too.

"I don't think anyone wants to see those two race on the field," Caserio said. "It might take a long time. (Players) are going to be the ones making the plays, but maybe we can have a race at halftime."

Would Caserio race his counterpart with the Jets, GM Mike Tannenbaum?

"Sure, if Mike's up for it. Hopefully I don't embarass myself."

As for Patricia, "the problem I have right now is...walking up the stairs to practice. I could probably withstand being outside the longest in shorts."
