nydailynews.jpgJets cornerback Antonio Cromartie has joined the battle with his profanity-laced comments about Patriots quarterback Tom Brady in a New York Daily News story this morning.

Cromartie was asked about Brady's actions after the Patriots scored during their 45-3 rout of the Jets Dec. 6. Some Jets believed Brady was throwing salt in the wound by pointing at the Jets sideline after a third-quarter touchdown.

"We see that a lot. He does it a lot," Cromartie said. "That's the kind of guy he is. We really don't give a damn, to tell you the truth."

Cromartie also gave a little hint at his game plan for Sunday.

"If I beat the [expletive] out of his receivers, he can't throw the ball," Cromartie said.

The Patriots have avoided the war of words this week, although the topic is sure to come up later today when Brady speaks to the media at Gillette Stadium. Jets coach Rex Ryan, who started the week with comments that the game was all about him vs. Patriots coach Bill Belichick, is also scheduled to talk to the Patriots media via conference call this morning.
