On draft picks and schedules
Thanks to the Richard Seymour trade, the Patriots will have the 17th pick in the first round of the NFL draft from the Oakland Raiders.
They also have the first pick of the second round (33d overall) thanks to a 2010 draft day trade with the Panthers.
The rest of the picks, along with the Patriots' own first-round pick, won't be determined until the playoffs are finished.
And the Patriots' 2011 schedule is set other than the dates (those are released in mid-April).
Besides the usual AFC East slate, the Patriots will face the Chiefs, Chargers, Cowboys, Giants, and Colts at home. On the road: Denver, Oakland, Philadelphia, Washington, and Pittsburgh.
