Nash promoted, other offensive coaching changes for Pats

The Patriots announced three more coaching moves earlier tonight:

* As expected, Harold Nash was promoted to head strength and conditioning coach following the departure of Mike Woicik; Nash had served as the Pats' assistant S&C coach since 2005. A former defensive back at Southwestern Louisiana and in the Canadian Football League, Nash also runs the team's player development program, which this year was recognized as the best in the NFL.

* Brian Ferentz was promoted to tight ends coach. Ferentz, a former offensive lineman for his father Kirk at Iowa, spent last year as an offensive assistant coach and spent most of his time with the tight ends. He now gets the formal title.

* Also, George Godsey joins the team as an offensive assistant. Godsey spent the last seven years at the University of Central Florida, working with the team's quarterbacks and then running backs. Godsey was the quarterback at Georgia Tech when Patriots' offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien was the Yellow Jackets' OC.
