Though the East-West Shrine Game and Senior Bowl have already occurred, today marks the start of the 2011 NFL Combine, which for most fans is the real kickoff to Draft season.

Colleague Greg Bedard and I will be here at Lucas Oil Stadium to talk to prospects, coaches and general managers about the draft - though as of right now, word is neither Bill Belichick nor Nick Caserio will meet with media members. That could change, but if you're hoping to get any sort of insight from the Pats' power players on this draft, we might not be able to provide that for you.

That said, today's schedule includes the offensive linemen, tight ends, punters, kickers and long snappers all rotating through here are some point to chat with some of the 450 media members here, as well as a number of coaches and GMs:

Buffalo HC Chan Gailey
St. Louis HC Steve Spagnuolo
Carolina HC Ron Rivera
Miami GM Jeff Ireland
Denver HC John Fox
San Francisco GM Trent Baalke
Baltimore HC John Harbaugh
Detroit HC Jim Schwartz
Tampa Bay HC Mark Dominik
Pittsburgh GM Kevin Colbert
Minnesota GM Rick Spielman
San Francisco HC Jim Harbaugh
Oakland HC Hue Jackson
Tennessee HC Mike Munchak
Philadelphia GM Howie Roseman
Jets HC Rex Ryan
Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum
Dallas HC Jason Garrett

To longtime Combine veterans, it is amazing how this event has grown from a media standpoint. But thanks to the internet, the draft and draft projection has become a cottage industry, and there are dozens of reporters here who are here almost solely to talk to prospects -- about any issues from their past both on and off the field, what type of system/position they think they'd excel in, etc.
