FOXBOROUGH -- The Patriots picked Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallett with the team's second pick of the third round.

Mallett was selected No. 74 overall. In 37 collegiate games, splitting time between Michigan and Arkansas, he tallied 8,385 yards and 69 touchdown and 24 interceptions, completing 57.8 percent of his passes.
