Two down, seven to go. According to Aaron Wilson of the Carroll County Times, the Patriots have come to terms with fifth-round pick Lee Smith out of Marshall.

Wilson reported that Smith received a $170,000 signing bonus.

Smith, a 6-6, 266 pound tight end, is more of a blocker than pass-catcher. One AFC scouting exec told colleague Greg Bedard earlier this month that Smith is "one of the most overpowering run-blockers I've seen at tight end."
