FOXBOROUGH -- Patriots coach Bill Belichick's first press conference of the week just wrapped up moments ago.

He didn't have an update on any potential disciplinary action for Albert Haynesworth. Leigh Bodden had a strong training camp. And he said this week will be a good test for his team against the Detroit Lions.

Has he heard from the league about any potential discipline on Haynesworth: "Whatever the league does, they'll announce."

On taking on the Lions: "... It's a great opportunity to go out and face an explosive team like Detroit. Offsensively, they do a lot of things. Defensively, they've got a good front. ... It will be a real good test for us in all three phases of the game."

On Leigh Bodden: "He's had a good camp. He's played both inside and outside. It looks like he's healthy. When he's had a chance to participate, he's taken a lot of snaps. Looks like he's doing fine."

On Ras-I Dowling practicing: "Guys that have missed time have some catching up to do. It's good to see every player out there. ... It's good for the team and it 's good for those individuals because I know they're working hard to get back out there. It's positive stuff."
