TAMPA -- Members of the Patriots are taking the field here at Raymond James Stadium to warm up for tonight's preseason game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Quarterbacks Brian Hoyer and Ryan Mallett are on the field getting a feel for the stadium and the field. Haven't seen Tom Brady, yet, but he rarely comes out for early warm ups. Others on the field include Andre Carter and BenJarvus Green-Ellis.

Globe NFL reporter Greg Bedard is reporting that the Patriots starters are expected to play a quarter. The Patriots also may use this game to see a little more of Mallett.

It is currently 87 degrees and there is a 30 percent chance of showers this evening.

For those interested in game updates via Twitter, follow Bedard's tweets @GlobePatsLive.

We're scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. start tonight and will be back with more updates.
