On Sunday afternoon, the scariest moment of the Patriots' win over the Chargers came just after halftime, when Chargers' tackle Antonio Garay dove at Tom Brady's left (plant) knee and Brady twisted awkwardly to the Gillette Stadium turf.

There wasn't a flag thrown on the play, and Bill Belichick was understandably upset that Garay wasn't fined for the obvious penalty - dubbed the "Brady Rule" after a similar move by then-Chief Bernard Pollard led to Brady's ACL injury in 2008.

But the NFL has fined Garay, a Boston College product, $15,000 for the hit, a league source has confirmed. So he will pay for his lunge at Brady.
