It's kind of a no-brainer, but let the record show Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has been chosen as the AFC offensive player of the week by the NFL.

Brady set a team record with 517 passing yards in a season-opening win over the Dolphins on Monday night. Brady also had four touchdown passes.

It was the 18th time he has been named AFC offensive player of the week. (The real news would be if he were named defensive player of the week sometime).

Only Peyton Manning of the Colts has won the award more than Brady. Manning has 20.
