OAKLAND -- Good afternoon from O.co Coliseum where the New England Patriots (2-1) visit the Oakland Raiders (2-1) in Week 4.

The Patriots are coming off 34-31 loss to the Buffalo Bills in which Tom Brady threw four interceptions.

The Raiders are coming off a 34-24 win over the New York Jets. The Raiders' only loss also came against the Bills, 38-25 in Week 2.

Last time the Patriots played the Raiders, the Patriots were victorious in a 49-26 win at then Oakland Coliseum. Matt Cassel threw four touchdown passes in the game for the Patriots.

Brady, who has 272 career touchdown passes, is one TD pass away from tying his hero Joe Montana of 273 career passes for scores.

Of note, eight players on the Patriots are from California including three from the Bay Area. Tom Brady hails from San Mateo, Julian Edelman from Redwood City, and Andre Carter from San Jose.

It's 67 degrees and partly cloudy, a great day for football.

Kickoff: 4:15 p.m.

Season records: Patriots 2-1; Raiders 2-1

TV/Radio info: WBZ-TV Ch. 4 (Kevin Harlan, Solomon Wilcotts); 98.5-FM The Sports Hub (Gil Santos, Gino Cappelletti, Scott Zolak).

Projected starting lineups*

(Based on pregame material distributed to media and last week’s starting lineup.)

Patriots defense: LE Shaun Ellis, NT Vince Wilfork, RE Andre Carter, OLB Rob Ninkovich, ILB Jerod Mayo, ILB Brandon Spikes, OLB Jermaine Cunningham, LCB Devin MCCourty, RCB Kyle Arrington, S Josh Barrett, S Patrick Chung.

Raiders defense: DE Lamarr Houston, DT Richard Seymour, DT Tommy Kelly, DE Matt Shaughnessy, OLB Quentin Groves, MLB Rolando McClain, OLB Kamerion Wimbley, CB Stanford Routt, CB DeMarcus Van Dyke, FS Michael Huff, SS Tyvon Branch.

Inactives*:
Will be updated.

Patriots: DL Albert Haynesworth (back), Leigh Bodden (groin), CB Ras-I Dowling (hip), DT Mike Wright (concussion), OT Sebastian Vollmer (back) and TE Aaron Hernandez (knee), QB Ryan Mallet.

Raiders: CB Chris Johnson (hamstring), WR Louis Murphy (groin).

A banged up secondary: The Patriots are thin at corner with Leigh Bodden being downgraded to out yesterday due to a lingering groin injury and Ras-I Dowling ailing from a hip injury. This is the second week in a row Dowling has missed. Corners Antwaun Molden and Phillip Adams will likely see increased time.

Bounce back?: The Patriots are notorious for having strong games after losses. Expect Tom Brady, who had four interceptions last week, to try and make up for it. He's been on a record-tear, leading a prolific Patriots offense while racking up a record 1,387 passing yards. We'll see if the reputation for bouncing back comes to fruition.
