PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Sixteen members of the Patriots showed up to Dexter Training Ground today to join more than 200 volunteers from UnitedHealthcare, the New England Patriots Foundation and others to build a new playground.

CB Devin McCourty, WR Wes Welker, WR Deion Branch, DL Vince Wilfork, K Stephen Gostkowski, P Zoltan Mesko, OL Nate Solder, RB Kevin Faulk and others all showed up for the event and chipped in to put the finishing touches on the playground.

"It's always fun to be able to come out somewhere and give back, especially for the kids," Wilfork said. "... Putting this playground together, that means a lot to me, growing up, myself, in a poorer neighborhood, so I know how important it is to the community. Mr. Kraft and Mrs. Kraft, you know she was all for this. This is one way we can pay tribute to her and she lives on through us. I'm pretty sure she's looking down and smiling us."

Said Branch: "The volunteers are the most important people. They're the ones that's putting it together. We're just lending a helping hand, but they deserve all the credit."
