Chung inactive for today's game; Faulk, Ellis return

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Patriots safety Patrick Chung will miss today's game with foot injury. He missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday before returning in a limited fashion on Friday.

Chung had a brief workout on the field at MetLife Stadium before being ruled out.

Also ruled out of today's game is WR Taylor Price, who has a lingering hamstring injury. He practiced all week but in a limited fashion.

Veteran running back Kevin Faulk returns to action after missing last week with a knee injury. DE Shaun Ellis returns after missing last week with a rib injury.

RB Shane Vereen, OL Donald Thomas and QB Ryan Mallett are healthy scratches.

LB Brandon Spikes, who has a knee injury, and LB Dane Flethcher (thumb) were ruled out of today's game on Friday.

Inactives for the Jets today include: QB Kevin O'Connell, WR Eron Riley, S Brodney Pool, RB Bilal Powell, TE Shawn Nelson, DT Kenrick Ellis, DT Martin Tevaseu.
