The NFL has fined Logan Mankins $7500 for unnecessary roughness, specifically a late hit, a league spokesman said.

Mankins drew a flag in the fourth quarter which took an Aaron Hernandez touchdown off the board (and therefore negated his "make it rain" touchdown celebration) when he shoved Chiefs' DE Amon Gordon to the ground.

New England was flagged for an illegal shift on the play, causing a replay of the down and taking an Aaron Hernandez touchdown off the board.

It was after that play that Mankins shoved Chiefs' DE Amon Gordon to the ground.

Mankins was flagged twice in Monday night's game, giving him a team-high eight for the season.

Edited because the illegal shift negated Hernandez's touchdown, not Mankins' penalty, as the post was originally written...
