The Patriots are busy with roster moves today. The team confirmed the release of DL Albert Haynesworth and also announced the release of tight end Dan Gronkowski.

The Patriots also signed wide receiver Tiquan Underwood to the 53-man roster and released offensive lineman Thomas Welch from the practice squad.

Gronkowski, who is the older brother of Rob Gronkowski, played in the first two games of the season before he was released on Sept. 23. The Patriots re-signed him on Oct. 11.

Underwood signed with the Patriots during training camp, but was released on Sept. 3 before the season opener. He was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2009 out of Rutgers and went on to play two seasons in Jacksonville before he was released this year.

Underwood has special teams experience and offensively, had eight receptions for 111 yards. Underwood returned 24 kicks for 561 yards in 10 games last season.
