FOXBOROUGH -- Safety Patrick Chung is doing everything he can to prepare for Sunday's game against the New York Jets. Even though Chung didn't practice earlier this week due to a foot injury, he appears ready to at least join his teammates at practice today.

Chung left the locker room suited up for practice today. He said he is keeping the same mentality.

"I'm just working to play and working to get out there," Chung said.

The Patriots are thin at safety, but Chung said he doesn't feel pressure to get back out on the field. He is just trying to prepare himself just in case he is cleared to play.

"We have good guys in there now, but I'm getting ready for a game," Chung said.

Chung added, "Everybody wants to play. ... Injuries are a bad thing. Being hurt is a different thing but you have to work to get ready for the game regardless you have to be mentally and physically there. Even if you're hurt, you have to be mentally ready because you might be called upon."
