Week 9: Wednesday practice peek - Edelman present, Welker not

The Patriots are back on the practice field today as they prepare to welcome the Giants to Gillette Stadium Sunday; WR Wes Welker and LB Dane Fletcher were not spotted during the media access window.

Julian Edelman was on the field, reports Monique Walker.

We won't know for sure what's up with Welker until the injury report comes out around 4 p.m., but he took part in the conference call with New York media, which around these parts is an indication that it's likely not anything serious (if he was hurt he wouldn't be able to speak with reporters).

The players are in shells and shorts/sweats.
