On the most up-to-date version of the NFL's "playoff picture" page, the N.Y. Jets are on the outside looking in when it comes to the AFC postseason.

But while Rex Ryan's team is 7-5 heading into Sunday's home game with the Chiefs, he's still his blustery self, telling the N.Y. Daily News' Mike Lupica that he feels a third meeting between his club and the Patriots - in the playoffs - is in the cards.

“I feel we’re gonna play them again,” he says, “and I’m excited about that. Even when we got our doors blown off, 45-3, last season, I wanted to play ’em again. I meant it then, I mean it now. We WANT to play them. No question we want to play them.”

Despite New England holding two wins over the Jets already this season and the Jets having lost to the Ravens earlier this year and the Steelers in the AFC Championship game in January, he feels his team can win against any of them.

“I understand where people are coming from with that,” Rex Ryan says. “Hey, we’re not in the playoffs yet. But if we get in the playoffs, they’re gonna be talking about four teams. I mean, if we get in, how can you not talk about us?

“We can beat all those teams.”

In true Ryan fashion, he closes by telling Lupica:

“If we get in, look out.”
