In addition to re-signing veteran DE Eric Moore and placing DE/LB Jermaine Cunningham on injured reserve, the Patriots have also announced two more roster moves:

DB Sterling Moore has been released. Rookie DB Malcolm Williams has been promoted off the team's practice squad to fill the open spot;.

Williams was the Pats' seventh-round draft pick this year, out of Texas Christian, where he was teammates with Marcus Cannon. The 5-foot-11, 200 pounder played primarily on special teams with the Horned Frogs.
