The Patriots have announced that DB Ross Ventrone has been released from the 53-man roster.

It is the 20th transaction involving Ventrone since August, whether he's been signed or released to the 53-man roster or signed to the practice squad.

The team has also released DL Cedric McKinley from the practice squad. McKinley was signed last week.
